Dollar Joins Southwest Airlines(R) Rapid Rewards(R) Program, Offers Special Rates to Members

    TULSA, Okla., July 1 -- Dollar Rent A Car and Southwest
Airlines have formed a Preferred Marketing Partnership Agreement,
effective July 1, 1999.  Dollar joins the program as one of the four car
partners offering Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Members the opportunity to
earn credit in the frequent flyer program.  Members who rent a car with Dollar
at a participating location in the U.S. can present plastic membership cards
to earn a half credit for every qualifying rental.
    "With the addition of Dollar to our list of preferred marketing partners,
it's now even easier for Rapids Rewards Members to earn free travel fast,"
Susan Kirkelie, Southwest Airlines director, marketing programs, said.  "Rapid
Rewards Members who accumulate a total of 16 credits in a 12-month period are
automatically sent a free roundtrip ticket valid anywhere the airline flies."
    Dollar will also be offering Rapid Rewards Members everyday special rates
when they mention the Corporate Discount Number "SW2358" when making
reservations through Southwest or Dollar.
