Volvo Offers Quality Reconditioned Parts for Economic and Environmental Benefits

Volvo Offers Quality Reconditioned Parts for Economic and Environmental Benefits
ROCKLEIGH, N.J., July 29 -- Volvo is now offering high
quality reconditioned Genuine Volvo which meet the demanding specifications
set for new Genuine Volvo parts, are backed by the same one-year limited
warranty Volvo places on new parts, and represent yet another initiative that
confirms Volvo's ongoing commitment to environmental care.
In this Exchange Parts program, used Volvo parts, such as front end cross
members, drive shafts, and intake and exhaust manifolds, are restored to their
original condition as the result of a quality controlled reconditioning
process which includes careful initial parts selection from end-of-life
Volvos. These parts are backed by Volvo's one-year limited warranty -- the
same warranty coverage Volvo places on all new Genuine Volvo parts. The
entire process was pioneered by and is managed by ECRIS (Environmental Car
Recycling in Scandinavia), a research and development partnership of Volvo Car
Corporation and Jonkopings Bildemontering AB in Sweden.
"This is a win - win situation for Volvo customers, repair technicians
and the environment," said Richard Morrissey, a Project Leader in
Volvo's Aftersales Business Group. "Reconditioned parts cost less than
new Genuine Volvo parts, and like new ones, fit right the first time,
thus cutting down on the time and expense often associated with the
installation of non-genuine aftermarket parts, not to mention the
quality issues. At the same time, Volvo owners can take pride in their
contribution to Volvo environmental care, since reconditioning Genuine
Volvo parts save as much as 80% in energy and up to 85% in raw materials
savings compared to manufacturing new ones."
