From Midland Consumer Radio: New Compact Mobile CB Kills Noise
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 23 -- Midland Consumer Radio has
introduced a new mobile CB with their exclusive ESP(TM)2 Noise Killer circuit.
This full featured mobile CB, Midland's model 77-235ESP, includes the features
CB users want most, including a 10 channel U.S./Canada weather/all hazard
monitor, and a large backlit LCD display. The 77-235ESP is in stock and
available for shipment.
What is ESP(TM)2? According to Midland's Senior VP, John Chass, "One of
the biggest complaints from CB users is excess noise that interferes with
communication and effectively shortens reception range. ESP(TM)2 is Midland's
patent pending technology that provides up to 95% noise reduction, even when
communicating with other radios without ESP(TM)2. Other noise reduction
schemes on the market only work when matched with another unit that has the
same system, and often can make transmission worse when used with other models
or brands. The ESP(TM)2 noise killer circuit senses the strength of the
signal being received, and adjusts automatically to boost weak signals and
apply noise reduction as needed."
Notable performance features of the 77-235ESP include super accurate
microprocessor controlled PLL tuning, a seven stage signal meter, instant
emergency channel 9 access and channel scanning. Squelch, microphone gain and
RF gain are all adjustable from the front panel for easy fine tuning of
transmission and reception.
The matte black case and modern styling give this CB a great look to match
its great performance. Packaged in an attractive, full color display box, the
77-235ESP represents a great value for the consumer, with a suggested retail
price of only $119.95.
Midland is the oldest manufacturer of CB's in the U.S., and the first to
market with a 14 channel FRS radio. Since 1959, Midland has remained at the
forefront of two-way radio technology by offering innovative features at value
prices. In addition to their full line of CB and FRS handheld and mobile
radios, Midland offers weather monitor alert radios, marine and amateur
radios, antennas and accessories.
