Hematite to Announce New Innovations in Recycling At the Annual Recycling Conference
DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 3 -- Hematite will spotlight its new
innovations in recycling at the Annual Recycling Conference on November
9-11, 1999 at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, Michigan.
As a solution for improving recycled options for the automotive industry,
Hematite has introduced its new BodyGuard(TM) system of components:
SoundGuard(TM), AquaGuard(TM) and ThermaGuard(TM). This cutting-edge system
of components is used to incorporate post-consumer/industrial recycled
materials into innovative "second-life" automotive products. Hematite
BodyGuard(TM) components are remanufactured from 100% recycled and recyclable
materials, including recovered thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) from painted
bumper fascias and trim, thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), polyethylene (PE) and
polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
SoundGuard(TM) components are used for noise-control abatement in
automotive applications that include dash insulator barriers, seat back
insulators, body plugs and a variety of other sound insulator components.
AquaGuard(TM) components are used for air/water deflection automotive
applications. These products, which provide superior air flow and water
protection to other automotive components, include water shields, wheel arch
liners, splash shields and front air deflectors.
ThermaGuard(TM) components are used primarily as heat-resistant barriers
in under-hood applications. New ThermaGuard(TM) products will provide
protection to other heat sensitive components located in high-temperature
areas of the automobile.
Hematite is an innovative, full-service supplier of recycled and
recyclable engineered components for noise-control, airflow and water-
deflection systems to the automotive industry.
Founded in 1978, as a developer of automotive recycling processes,
Hematite has grown into a multi-million dollar business with employees at
eight facilities in the United States, Canada and Europe.
