Vehicular Thermal Management Unveiled at Automotive Hall of Fame
    DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 15 -- The creation of a total system
integration company -- Vehicular Thermal Management, LLC (VTM) -- was formally
announced today at the Automotive Hall of Fame.
    VTM is the result of a strategic alliance between companies with shared
interests in a variety of industries.  These companies, comprising of both
international and minority-owned businesses, include:  Automotive Technology
Group, Inc. (ATG)/Powertrain International of Warren, Michigan; Fraunhofer
USA, Center for Laser Technology, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Griffin Thermal
Products, Piedmont, South Carolina; R&D Enterprises, Northville, Michigan; and
Karmazin Products Corporation of Wyandotte, Michigan.
    "This strategic alliance will provide our united companies with a new,
powerful platform and identity.  As for our customers, VTM will provide
expertise in vehicular thermal management and system integration in a number
of industrial and Ag-off highway arenas," said Adeel Zaidi, Chairman and CEO
of Karmazin Products Corporation and newly-designated Chairman of the Board of
Directors for VTM.  "With our shared resources, we will be able to integrate
components used in both HVAC systems and engine cooling systems ... In
essence, VTM will have the ability to meet all of our customers' thermal
needs, whether they're under the hood or in the riding compartment."
    The industries targeted by VTM include:  agriculture off-highway,
construction, mining, forestry, generator sets, compressor and locomotive.
Zaidi said VTM will also pursue opportunities in the on-highway automotive
market involving platforms of 50,000 units per year or less.
    In conjunction with this strategic alliance, VTM is poised to open a new
Technical Center in Plymouth, Michigan.  This facility will serve as the hub
for all VTM business and operational matters.
    In addition to Zaidi, other members of VTM's Board of Directors include:
Richard D. Cox of R&D Enterprises; Dr. Stefan Heinemann of Fraunhofer USA,
Center for Laser Technology; Ray M. Scanlon of Griffin Thermal Products; Julie
K. Scanlon and Anne Marie Schoonhoven of Vehicular Thermal Management, LLC;
and Dr. M. Nasim Uddin of Automotive Technology Group, Inc./Powertrain
International.
