Hertz Equipment Rental Announces The Opening of its Nashville, Tennessee 'Super Store'

          - Facility Features a Complete Line of Heavy Equipment and
        Contractor Supplies and an Expanded Maintenance Service Area -

    PARK RIDGE, N.J., Nov. 18 -- Hertz Equipment Rental
Corporation (HERC), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corporation
and a leading construction and industrial equipment rental business in
North America, announces the opening of its Nashville, Tennessee "Super
Store."  The new facility features a complete line of construction equipment
and small tools for rent and sale, a full line of contractor supplies and an
expanded maintenance facility.
    "We're excited to announce the opening of HERC's new, flagship location in
Nashville," commented Gerry Plescia, President, Hertz Equipment Rental
Corporation.  "This new facility will service our existing customers as well
as the numerous mid-size companies and smaller contractors in the Nashville
region whose needs also encompass equipment rental and contractor supplies."
    Located at 1320 Murfreesboro Road in Nashville, the location houses HERC's
three previous Nashville facilities including the two Hertz Care Supply
locations.  The location serves customers from two buildings that include a
showroom and service center.  The showroom is home to HERC's rental equipment,
contractor supplies and equipment for sale.  Also featured is a "contractor's
corner" that provides a work area equipped with telephones and a television
and video cassette recorder (VCR) for viewing HERC's line of equipment and
safety tapes.  The second building features eight drive-through service bays
where both rental and sales equipment are serviced.
    "As HERC continues to grow, our client base has also grown and has become
more diversified," continued Plescia.  "In addition to equipment rental needs,
there has been an increase in customer demand for contractor supplies,
consumables and equipment sales.  We've positioned the Super Store to offer
customers the products and services most in demand and expect the location to
serve as a prototype for other key hub cities that demonstrate a need for an
all-encompassing facility."
    Construction equipment available for rent includes a wide selection of air
compressors, compaction and paving equipment, aerial equipment, earthmoving
and concrete and masonry equipment.   Contractor supplies include power tools,
electrical mechanical equipment, ladders, safety equipment and hand tools.
The facility also has new and used equipment for sale.
    Additionally, as with all HERC locations, the facility will feature HERC's
Quality x2 Double Value Assurance Program.  Designed to ensure customer
satisfaction, the program highlights HERC's dedication to quality by offering
customers Double Value Assurance Vouchers.
    Should a customer experience downtime with rented HERC equipment, HERC
will provide the customer with vouchers toward a future HERC rental for up to
double the rental fee paid for any lost hours.
    Double Value Assurance coverage is automatically included at no extra
charge with a customer's rental.
    The Nashville location is open Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. through
5:00 p.m. and, on Saturdays, from 7:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.
