The vehicles, a 2000 Xterra by HKS USA, Inc., a 2000 Pathfinder by Hobrecht, a 2000 Frontier Crew Cab by JAC Products, Inc. and a 2000 Maxima SE by Eibach Springs, debuted at the 1999 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. "We had more than 25 vehicles on display modified by numerous aftermarket manufacturers that brought our products to a new dimension. Our L.A. Auto Show custom vehicles are spirited examples of Nissan's SEMA and aftermarket involvement." The four featured vehicles range from mild -- the JAC Products Frontier Crew Cab, with a prototype roof rack and railing system and custom graphics, to wild -- the Eibach Maxima, highly modified with a turbocharged engine, custom suspension, interior and paint. "The Los Angeles Auto Show is the perfect place to give the public a closer look at our SEMA display vehicles," said Connelly. "Californians love their cars, and it shows by the amount of personalized vehicles seen on our local highways. We're showing them examples of what they can do with Nissan cars and trucks." The Greater Los Angeles Show is just the beginning of Nissan's aftermarket vehicle involvement. At the debut of the all-new 2000 Nissan Sentra on January 11 at the 2000 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, there will be a special customized 2000 Sentra on display to show the aftermarket potential of that vehicle. In North America, Nissan's operations include automotive styling, engineeales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing.
