American Isuzu Motors Inc. Announces Isuzu Genuine Parts 'Part of the Family' Sweepstakes Grand Prize Winner

                    AIMI Awards a 2000 Isuzu Hombre Pickup
           And Other Prizes in Contest Open to Independent Repair,
                    Service, and Body Shop Owner/Operators

    CERRITOS, Calif., Feb. 1 -- American Isuzu Motors Inc.
(AIMI), today announced Bill Faulconer, owner of Renson Automotive in
Campbell, California as the Grand Prize winner of the 1999 Isuzu Genuine Parts
"Part of the Family" National Sweepstakes.
    "I would never have entered the sweepstakes," said Faulconer, "if it
hadn't been for the good-natured persistence of Dave Jimenez, the parts rep at
Falore Isuzu in San Jose.  But right now, I'm real glad I did."
    The Grand Prize awarded Faulconer is a 4-cylinder, 5-speed, 2000 Isuzu
Hombre pickup with air conditioning.  However Faulconer elected to upgrade his
prize with an automatic transmission and more options.
    "The sweepstakes, open to all independent repair, service, and body shop
owners and operators," said Harold Thomas, vice president, parts and
accessories, "was our way to reward shops that already enjoy a good
relationship with Isuzu Genuine Parts dealers.  It also served as a fun way to
make new friends and perhaps make them part of the Isuzu Genuine Parts
family."
    Key to the success of this sweepstakes was making it fun and rewarding for
the shops as well as the dealer reps.  In this contest, when the shop won, the
rep won.  Dave Jimenez received a set of Ping irons since his client's shop
won the grand prize.
    Other prizes awarded to participating shops in the Isuzu Genuine Parts
"Part of the Family" National Sweepstakes included: one 1st prize JVC digital
camcorder, five 2nd prize Phillips DVD players, ten 3rd prize AIWA
MiniDisc(TM) players, 20 4th prize Genuine Isuzu Parts quartz 2-tone watches,
and 100 5th prize Genuine Isuzu Parts T-shirts.  Dealer reps were awarded the
following prizes according to the prize awarded their client shops: one 1st
prize Bose Wave Radio, five 2nd prize Phillips Web TV Classic internet
terminals, ten 3rd prize RCA 1.8-inch portable personal color TVs, 20 4th
prize Genuine Isuzu Parts quartz 2-tone watches, and 100 5th prize Genuine
Isuzu Parts T-shirts.
    The sweepstakes was held from September 1, 1999 to October 31, 1999 with
the official drawing held on December 20, 1999.  The Isuzu Genuine Parts "Part
of the Family" National Sweepstakes was a national promotional program offered
exclusively through all authorized Isuzu Sport Utility Vehicle dealers and
authorized Isuzu Commercial Truck dealers.  Prizes were drawn from a pool of
entries received from all authorized Isuzu dealers.
