AAA's Free 'Winter Sports Guide 2000'; Non-commercial Booklet, Web Site Give Unbiased Information on Snow Sports

    SAN FRANCISCO--Feb. 22, 2000--Hot off the presses, the AAA "Winter Sports Guide 2000" is free to AAA members, and accessible to anyone at www.aaa.com.
    "The AAA 'Winter Sports Guide 2000' details a wide range of outdoor activities -- from helicopter skiing to dog-sled tours," said AAA spokesman Paul Moreno. "The booklet accepts no advertising and provides objective information on winter sports all throughout California, Nevada and Utah."
    The guide lists locations offering winter sports such as downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, ice skating, snowshoeing, tobogganing, sleigh rides and more. It is available as a member benefit at AAA offices in Northern California, Nevada and Utah.
    The 52-page "Winter Sports Guide 2000" includes phone numbers for road, skiing and weather conditions, as well as emergency numbers. Detailed information is provided on resorts, including lift ticket prices, directions, phone numbers and web sites.
    Also included are tips on preparing your car for winter, as well as driving in snow, ice and fog.
