Prudential Introduces Insurance for Recreational Vehicles, Reduces Rates for Nevada Drivers

HOLMDEL, N.J.--March 1, 2000--Looking for insurance coverage for your antique or classic car, snowmobile or golfcart? Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Company (PRUPAC) has just introduced complete coverage at competitive rates for all these recreational vehicle types. In addition, Prudential is reducing Auto insurance rates for many drivers in Nevada by an average of 2.2 percent statewide. Some Nevada drivers will enjoy reductions of more than 20 percent.
"We're delighted to introduce recreational vehicle coverage for policyholders in Nevada," said Ed Rafter, PRUPAC President. "We're also pleased to lower prices for many Auto policyholders in the state. Not only are we offering this new coverage and lower prices, but our customers will find we've made terrific improvements to our customer service. State of the art technology enhances our claims handling process and makes it easier for our customers to do business with us -- and that's our primary goal."
The price reduction took effect on January 21 for new Auto policies, Rafter notes. Customers with existing policies will start seeing their savings as their policies renew on or after February 28.
In addition, Prudential just introduced a new Single Car Deluxe Package Discount of 10 percent, available to policyholders who meet and maintain certain specified coverages and qualifications.
A variety of other discounts may help to lower Prudential premiums even further for Nevada drivers. For example, the company's Companion Policy Discount can lower premiums by up to 15 percent in certain cases for customers who have both Auto and Home policies with Prudential.
Other premium-saving discounts are available for driver training, mature defensive driving, good student, and multi-car coverage. In addition to Auto, Prudential and its affiliates offer Homeowners, Condominium, Renters, Dwelling Fire, Personal Liability and Boat insurance to Nevada residents.
As one of the top 20 property and casualty insurers in Nevada, Prudential provides coverage for over 12,000 autos and nearly 7,500 homes and sells property and casualty and life insurance and annuities through over 70 agents in the state.
Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Prudential Insurance Company of America, based in Newark, NJ. Prudential is one of the largest life insurance companies in North America.
