Kia Announces Modest Price Increase On 2000 Models
    IRVINE, Calif., March 2 -- Kia Motors America announced a
modest price increase on its 2000 model lineup, effective today.
    The fast-selling Kia Sephia compact sedan now will have a Manufacturer's
Suggested Retail Price of $10,195 on the base model, a $200 increase.  The
MSRP on the popular Kia Sportage sport-utility vehicle will increase $300 to
$15,095.  The new base prices of the Sephia and Sportage represent a 2-percent
increase.
    The MSRP on the base Sportage 2-Door Convertible will increase $200 to
$14,195, an amount that translates to 1.4 percent.
    In addition to offering outstanding quality, affordability and value, all
Kia vehicles are covered by two very impressive warranties: a
three-year/36,000-mile basic limited vehicle warranty and
five-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain coverage.
