First Finalist in the Polaris Million Dollar Giveaway May be Moving -- to Easy StreetWalter T. Bacon is Polaris' Millionth Automatic ATV Million Dollar Giveaway Semi-Finalist for March MINNEAPOLIS, May 25 The light to get on easy street could be turning green for New Market, Tenn. resident, Walter T. Bacon, the March semi-finalist in the "Polaris Millionth Automatic ATV $1 Million Giveaway" contest. Bacon won by submitting the winning photo of his ATV and an essay explaining what Polaris' slogan, "The Way Out," means to him. As a semi-finalist, Bacon has already won a custom "The Way Out" ATV PRO Adventure tour for two, tickets to a NASCAR Winston Cup race and he also wins a chance at the $1 million grand prize. One semi-finalist will be selected each month from March to December 2000 by a panel of independent judges. In early 2001, each semi-finalist's entry will be judged again, and one will be awarded the $1 million grand prize. Bacon purchased a Polaris Magnum 325 2 x 4 in March and with his entry, will be one of ten finalists competing for the grand prize. "I was excited about my new ATV so I decided to send in an entry," said Bacon. "Now I have this amazing opportunity to win one million dollars, the whole thing is just a real thrill." Only ten semi-finalists will be eligible to win the one million-dollar grand-prize. Bacon's entry will be judged early next year and one of the ten semi-finalists will come away one million bucks richer.
