Honda Unveils First 2001 Street Motorcycles

    Torrance, CA - American Honda is please to announce the immediate 
availability of the first street motorcycles and scooter models in the 2001 
lineup.

    Three of Honda's best-selling cruisers are back for 2001: the Shadow 
American Classic Edition (ACE) 750 Deluxe; the Shadow VLX and VLX Deluxe; 
and the ever-popular Rebel. Also back for 2001 is Honda's largest scooter, 
the Helix.

    You'll immediately notice that the speedometer on the Shadow ACE 750
Deluxe (VT750CD) is now set into the front of the fuel tank, complimenting its
classic retro styling. New two-tone colors for 2001 are Pearl Dark Blue/
Metallic Silver, Metallic Silver / Pearl White, and Pearl Dark Red/Pearl
White. Manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) is $6199.00 for the two-tone
colors. Classic Black is also available with an MSRP of $5999.00.

    Two new solid colors grace the Shadow VLX Deluxe (VT600CD) for 2001 - 
Pearl DarkRed and Pearl Blue. Classic Black is available for both the standard 
VLX (VT600C) and the Deluxe model. MSRP will be $4999.00 for the standard Shadow 
VLX and $5299.00 for the Deluxe versions.

    The Honda Rebel (CMX250C) will be available in Pearl Blue and Black, with 
an MSRP of $2999.00. The Rebel remains one of Honda's best-selling models, with
retail sales in excess of 75,000 since its introduction in 1985.

    Honda's popular scooter, the Helix (CN250) will also be available 
immediately.  For 2001, the Helix is available in Black with an MSRP of 
$4999.00.
