Milwaukee Home Run 2000 Offers Something for EveryoneMILWAUKEE - A new citywide celebration, Milwaukee Home Run 2000, will feature entertainment for the whole family and a peek at some rarely seen historic motorcycles when the Annual Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Rally and Harley Expo rumble into town, June 22-25. Harley Expo The heart of the events will be the Harley Expo, which opens to the public Friday, June 23, and runs through Sunday, June 25. The Milwaukee Midwest Express Center hosts the Expo which features a comprehensive collection of Harley-Davidson products and related services as well as live entertainment, billiard exhibitions, games, raffles, children's activities and an impressive collection of antique Harley-Davidson motorcycles dating back to 1905. The Harley Expo is open to the public Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24, noon - 9 p.m.; and on Sunday, June 25, noon - 5 p.m. The Harley Expo is presented by H.O.G. Public admission is $7 for adults (13 and over), $3 for children (7 - 12), and free for children six and under. Senior citizens (55 and over) and active duty military with I.D. will be admitted for $5. Attendees are invited to present a Polish Fest ticket stub to receive $3 off one adult admission or present a Harley Expo ticket stub at Polish Fest to receive a 2-for-1 adult admission. Harley Expo Kids Day Kids Day is Sunday, June 25, and it's packed full of family fun. On this special day, children 12 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Kids are invited to test drive Fisher-Price(R) Power Wheels(R) Ride-on Toy Motorcycles from noon to 5 p.m. and enter to win one of two Fisher-Price(R) toy motorcycles. Kids also can test their skills at pool in the billiards area and visit with special characters Harley D. Hog, Sparky and Auggie Doggie. Collectors of the popular Harley-Davidson beanbag plush toys should also mark their calendars for Sunday, June 25. On this day, one complimentary Harley-Davidson beanbag plush toy will be given to the first 500 paid box office ticket holders entering the Expo. Harley-Davidson Powertrain Open House and Factory Tours Harley-Davidson's Pilgrim Road and Capitol Drive facilities will open their doors for an inside look at America's only major motorcycle manufacturer. Factory tours are open to the public on Wednesday, June 21, noon - 7 p.m; Thursday, June 22, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. In addition, the Pilgrim Road facility is host to this year's Annual Powertrain Open House, which features motorcycle demonstration rides and kiddie demo rides, a MotorClothes(R) fashion show, health fair, auction, live music and games. The Powertrain Open House will take place on Saturday, June 24, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Pilgrim Road facility in Menomonee Falls. Buell Battle of the Champions, presented by Snap-on Tools(R), and Monster Truck Competition Buell(R) motorcycles will tear up the track at Wisconsin State Fair Park's Milwaukee Mile racetrack on Friday, June 23, 3:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. For added thrills, monster trucks will go grille-to-grille in gladiator combat. Tickets will go on sale to the public for $5 at 8 a.m. on race day at the Milwaukee Mile ticket office. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. Enter via Gate 2. H.O.G. Motorcycle Parade and Milwaukee Home Run 2000 Party on Water Street Presented by Miller Lite More than 2,500 H.O.G. members are expected to parade their bikes through Milwaukee on Saturday, June 24, at 6 p.m. en route to the Milwaukee Home Run 2000 Party on Water Street presented by Miller Lite. The public is invited to gather along the parade route and then come to the street fest that follows to enjoy refreshments and fun. Live entertainment will include the music of the Bobby Friss Band and Pork and the Havana Ducks. Hardly Angels Motorcycle Drill Team Hardly Angels, an all-women motorcycle drill team, will perform thrilling maneuvers while riding their Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Hardly Angels will give free performances at the Milwaukee Auditorium on Sunday, June 25, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Admission is free with a Harley Expo ticket stub. Annual H.O.G. Rally The Annual H.O.G. Rally will be the largest gathering of Harley Owners Group members this year. H.O.G. has more than 500,000 members and 1,100 chapters worldwide. The Annual H.O.G. Rally will be headquartered at the Midwest Express Center and offers exclusive activities and seminars designed for H.O.G. members. MDA Fund-raiser Two Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be given away in a raffle drawing to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which is Harley- Davidson's national charity. Free Shuttles For added convenience, complimentary shuttle service will run Thursday - Saturday between the Harley-Davidson facilities at Capitol Drive, Pilgrim Road and Juneau Avenue; Polish Fest; Miller Brewing Company Tour Center; Potawatomi Bingo and Casino; and the rally headquarters at the Midwest Express Center.
