Today's News Contains Information on PSOne, Grand Theft Auto 2, and Grand Prix 3

Sony unveils a new portable Playstation: Don't be fooled by this announcement, however. The PS One is not a portable system like the Gameboy. It still has to be plugged in to a wall socket. There are a few new features, though. A cell phone cable, whose use has not been explained yet, and an LCD screen (which must be purchased separately, and will not be available in the U.S. at the time of release) have been announced. Other than that however, this is basically the same system as the regular Playstation with a new look. A big problem with the PS One is that many peripherals and connection devices compatible with the original Playstation, such as the Gameshark, will not work with the PS One. Grand Prix 3 Preview: Yawn. Well it seems that yet another Grand Prix racer is coming our way. Yawn. It just seems to me that Formula 1 racers are just not welcome anymore. Back in the day on my Atari 800 I owned F1 Pole Position and loved it beyond belief. Don't ask why; I just did. Why no company can bring the magic back to the genre is beyond me. But someone may have stumbled upon the light at the end of the tunnel. A man by the name of Geoff Crammond has F1 racing in his blood and comprises a wide variety of F1 game development knowledge. With both Grand Prix Racing and Grand Prix 2 behind him, he is well aware of the job at hand and comments that he has made significant improvements over his past two titles. His next piece of software is appropriately titled Grand Prix 3 for the PC and click the title above for the complete preview.
