Ford Racing Demo: Ford Racing for PC CD ROM features a dozen of Ford vehicles from European and American ranges, several of which (including the Rapid Fit Mondeo) are reproduced in full race livery. Such is the attention that has been lavished on the vehicles re-produced in the game that more than 1-million pixels are used to define each one, in breathtaking detail. Just as importantly the physics engine provides not only for authentic modelling of the suspension and drive-train characteristics but also for the convincing collision-dynamics expected by the descerning gamer. But the attention to detail does not stop there. Ford Racing for PC CD ROM features ten hand-crafted race-tracks, from the splendid English-country-estate style Branton Park circuit to the fiendishly difficult American-desert style Navahoe raceway. Whilst the Quick Race mode provides rapid access to several different vehicles and tracks, it is its Career Mode that offers a long-term challenge to the ambitious pilot.

Ford Racing Preview: There's been a few games released which feature only the cars of individual manufacturers. These games, however, usually fall a little bit short of the mark. Ford, and Elite Systems are trying to curb that trend with the new game, Ford Racing on the PC.

The British developer and the first American car company have come together to try and take a chunk out of the racing genre. Read the rest of our preview with a full list of features.
