'Chrysler PT Dream Cruise' Kicks-Off Woodward Dream Cruise in Style

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - America's love affair with the car is as passionate as
ever.

Approximately 300 Chrysler PT Cruisers and enthusiastic drivers, families
and friends are gathering tonight at DaimlerChrysler headquarters to kick-off
the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, the world's largest one-day show celebrating
the cars that made the cruising era special.

"The Chrysler PT Cruiser evokes all the excitement and emotion about cars
that the Woodward Dream Cruise celebrates," said Larry Lyons, Vice President -
Small Car Platform. "Owners love it for the style, versatility and
affordability. We're creating an opportunity for PT drivers to meet and share
stories and for us to learn more about how they're using the vehicle."

The Chrysler PT Cruiser, starting at $16,500, hit dealerships late March
and has drawn unprecedented crowds to Chrysler showrooms. DaimlerChrysler
Corporation research shows the PT Cruiser is one of the top five vehicles
across all segments being considered by consumers planning to buy in the next
year.

"The Chrysler PT Cruiser is in a category all its own," said Tom
Marinelli, Vice President - Chrysler/Jeep Division. "For the large majority
of our early buyers, the PT was the only car they looked at. The large number
of attendees for our first Chrysler PT Dream Cruise -- over 800 -- is evidence
of the strong emotional attachment people feel for this car."

Customized PT Cruisers, including flame-painted and wood-paneled versions,
will be on display demonstrating individual owner definitions of what PT --
personal transportation -- means. DaimlerChrysler is awarding prizes to
owners, including best custom vehicle and most unique owner experience story.

Chrysler PT Cruiser owners are driving from as far away as Virginia and
flying in from the West Coast to join the Chrysler PT Dream Cruise. After
gathering at DaimlerChrysler headquarters, cruisers will depart for the drive
down Detroit's famous cruising strip, Woodward Avenue.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is the Motor City's mid-summer classic car event
held annually on the third Saturday of August. It draws over 1.5 million
visitors and over 30,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and
special interest vehicles.
