Thrifty Offers American Express Cardholders Special Rates on SUVs, Mini-Vans & Compact Cars

    TULSA, Okla., Sept. 5 Thrifty Car Rental today announced a
special promotion offering American Express cardmembers special rental rates
on three of its most popular vehicle categories: SUVs, minivans and compact
cars.
    When American Express cardmembers use their card to rent from any Thrifty
Car Rental airport or participating suburban locations in the U.S. or Canada
from September 3 through October 5, 2000, they will receive great daily and
weekly rates on vehicles like the Jeep Cherokee, Dodge Caravan and Dodge Neon,
or similar (see rates below):

    Weekly           $ 124.99*    $ 199.99*   $ 215.99*
    *Note:  All rates are quoted in U.S. currency.

    All rentals must be picked up during the promotional dates, and there is a
two-day minimum rental.  Travel agents and customers should mention rate code
0963 when reserving a car through 1-800-THRIFTY, thrifty.com or through a GDS
system.  Mileage on SUV rentals like the Jeep Cherokee is capped at 200 miles
per day with additional mileage charged at 25 cents per mile.
