SportPaint Expands Paint Operation

Louisville Auto/Motorcycle Supplier, SportPaint, Expands Paint Operation
    LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 7 SportPaint, Inc., a privately held
custom paint-finishing supplier for both the automotive and motorcycle
industries, will break ground this month for an 84,000-square foot facility at
8151 National Turnpike, here.
    SportPaint, which currently supplies custom paint finishes for components
for Honda automobiles and Honda motorcycle parts, will incorporate into the
new facility an overhead conveyor line for painting high volume automotive
parts.
    SportPaint President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas Cunningham
announced the expansion.
    Cunningham said the new facility would allow the company to expand its
manufacturing capability and remain centrally located in Louisville.
Cunningham added that SportPaint would expand its workforce from 100 employees
to 150 when the new facility is completed.
    The $771,000 expansion is expected to be completed in December 2000.
