Concept Cars, SEMA Show Cars and Hot Rods Featured at California International Auto Show Opening November 8ANAHEIM, Calif., Nov. 7 Automakers are capitalizing on the timing of the year's first West Coast Auto Show to display several of their brand-new aftermarket concept vehicles. These unique concepts are fresh from their debuts at the trade-only SEMA Show in Las Vegas and will be making their public debut at the Show. Vehicles scheduled for display include the Saleen S7, the Tokico Nissan Xterra, Chrysler 300 M, Ford HPA Focus, Ford Focus Flyer, Ford Roush Stage III Mustang, Honda Civic, Hyundai XG300, Mazda Miata, Mazda Tribute, Nissan Xterra Trekmaster R/T and Performance Products Jeep Wrangler. Ford Motor Company will display five modified Ford Focus cars including the brand new Ford Racing FR200. Ford will also feature JBA Racing's Focus Wagon (from San Diego), which broke the land speed record for G-production vehicles at Bonneville this summer. Focus vehicles modified by Gude Performance (Lake Elsinore), B & M Racing and Performance Products (Chatsworth), and AEM (Hawthorne) will be shown, all coming directly from the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Another favorite, the Saleen S7, will be making its only California Auto Show appearance in Anaheim. Built in Orange County and priced at $375,000, this "first true American supercar" was designed to combine the performance of a track-only racecar with the driving pleasure of a road car. Designed and developed a year and a half ago, this specialty vehicle has gone from concept to production in just 18 months.
