Offroad tires

Mike,
I have a '85 Ford Bronco. I've recently put a 2" lift on it, and a Holley 4-bbl. My question is which tires would you suggest for street use as well as going "Mudding". The truck has a 350 cid and puts out 310 horsepower, so I'm not worried about if the engine can turn the tires. I've searched the market and found out vey little. I have a set of BFGOODWRENCH All Terain Radials, now. The size I would be interested in is 33/12.50-15, or the equivalent. I was thinking about Dick Cepek's Mud Country II, TSL Thornbirds, or BFGoodwrench Mud Terrain T/A's. I would appreciate your advice in this matter.
Thanks,
Pat O'kane

Your Ford stock had IFS, it has a little disadvantage in the stregth department compared to a straight axle. A real agressive tread like a Thornbird might challenge your drivetrain, they also are not the smoothest running tire around, The Cepek tire is great to look at but I believe the BFG Mud Terrain is the best all around and can be purchased for the least amount of money. They are the best to balance and have good highway manners along with good offroad traction.
