Chrysler For 2000

By Carey Russ

Chrysler's line of luxury-oriented sedans, coupes, convertibles, and minivans will get an interesting addition when the 2001 PT Cruiser debuts early in the year. It mixes elements of a sedan with characteristics of a minivan or SUV, and combines contemporary and nostalgic styling to create a new type of vehicle. What else would you expect from the company that invented the segment-breaking minivan? Other Chrysler vehicles

Sebring Convertible

Chrysler's Sebring Convertible has a lock on the affordably-priced four-seat convertible market. Three trim levels are offered, all with a 2.5-liter V6 engine. All have enhancements to the rear suspension for improved ride and handling and quieter operation.

Sebring Coupe

The sophisticated but practical Sebring Coupe is offered in two trim levels. Both now have a 2.5-liter V6 engine, and the base-level LX has further upgrades to its standard equipment levels.

Concorde

Although it was all-new only two years ago, the Concorde sedan has a number of important upgrades this year. A refined touring suspension gives a quieter, smoother ride. A new instrument cluster and available four-disc in-dash CD changer highlight the interior.

LHS

The new instrument cluster and four-disc in-dash CD changer option find their way into Chrysler's luxury flagship LHS as well. It also has other minor interior trim changes.

300M

And, yes, look for that new instrument cluster and optional four-disc in-dash CD changer in the performance-oriented LH model, the 300M.

Cirrus

The mid-size Cirrus has more standard equipment this year.

Town & Country

Six long-wheelbase versions of the Town & Country minivan are offered. Models and equipment have been realigned this year.
