Jeep For 2001 |

Jeep's off-road heritage and capabilities are second to none. All of its models, from the back-to-basics Wrangler through the mid-size Cherokee to the most luxurious version of the Grand Cherokee, can be outfitted for serious capability in the dirt. And to help owners learn about Jeep abilities, Jeep offers several good-and-dirty, fun-oriented educational programs.
Grand Cherokee
Although it was completely revamped in 1999, Jeep's flagship Grand Cherokee hasn't been left alone. Grand Cherokees equipped with the 4.7-liter "PowerTech" V8 have a new five-speed automatic transmission and a hydraulically-driven fan for better performance and fuel efficiency. Both the Laredo and Limited trim levels have a variety of appearance and convenience enhancements for 2001.
Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler remains the best turn-key off-road vehicle in production. There is nothing quite like it - name another vehicle for which full doors with roll-up windows are part of a luxury package. The standard soft top has been re-engineered for reduced noise and the fuel tank skid plate is thicker. A number of interior enhancements, including a new console and optional subwoofer and "Add-a-Trunk" luggage carrier, add convenience. Three trim levels are offered, with either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or the 4.0-liter "PowerTech" inline six. All have four-wheel drive.
Cherokee
The Jeep Cherokee created the four-door sport-utility vehicle when it was introduced in 1984. A second generation debuted in 1997. For 2001, all models are equipped with the 4.0-liter "PowerTech" inline six-cylinder engine, a completely modern, low-emissions version of the legendary Jeep six. Four trim levels and the choice of two- or four-door body styles and two- or four-wheel drive ensure a model for everyone.
