2002 Mazda Protegé5

Behold Mazda's UAV - urban activity vehicle - the 2002 Protegé5. From its aero-wedge shape to its roof-mounted rear spoiler, its a practical beast that is a fun drive as well. We were quite delighted with the nice tight steering, good clean feedback and terrific independent suspension that smoothed out some mean mountain roads.

Under the hood the 2.0L DOHC engine delivered smooth power, and high performance V-rated tires on 16" alloy rims combined with 4-wheel disc brakes offer potent stopping power. Comfortable seats, an a/c that performs well without sapping torque and good sound system contribute to your comfort. Add to that a very good reliability record, reasonable price and gas economy, and you've got a lot of reasons to include this peppy puppy in your test drive list!
