In the market for a luxury wagon? The 2001 Audi Allroad Quattro can rise to your expectations. Literally! Yes friends, this is a remarkable height-adjustable wagon with well appointed style and grace surrounding a potent 250-horsepower 2.7-liter V6 engine (via the Audi A6). With 5 valves per cylinder and twin turbos, you will experience ever-ready torque at legal speeds and beyond all the while hugging the road with its legendary quattro all-wheel drive system.

So, you ask, what about this height-adjustable thing? I'm glad you asked that. Imagine you can manually adjust the ground clearance of your wagon: up, to go over rocks and other such jetsome; or down, to hunker to the highway pavement for improved handling. Now imagine you can put it into an automatic mode to make these adjustments on its own - including rising up a bit after parking to assist access. Very cool.

Safety is certainly a factor in choosing a family wagon. This Audi has added drop-down curtain airbags called Sideguard. In addition if any airbag is deployed, the fuel system is cut off, the doors unlock and the interior lights illuminate. Very nice. With a number of different packages available, you can really mold this beast to fit your needs. Is there a better wagon out there? If there is, we haven't driven it yet.
