Tiburon in Spanish means shark. Note the "gills" behind the front wheels and the sleek lines that swoop to the rear light cluster. Shades of the Ferrari 456 and the Mustang. This GT V6 ($17,999) is powered by a 181-horsepower 2.7-liter V6 engine with plenty of torque. We liked the wraparound leather seats and the manual 6-speed trasmission that reached legal speeds with ease. MacPherson struts up front keep you steady, Freddy, and a strut-type multi-link suspension keeps your rear in gear.

If you like black, you'll love this interior - the dashboard extends from door to door broken only by a few vents and a small cluster of guages. We liked the short throw shifter and the well placed parking brake on the left side of the center console leaving room for a cupholder and a small storage tray. Passengers in the rear are comfortable if they are under five feet tall - cargo space is pretty good - and the Infiniti sound system rocks. The Tiburon, with its looks, performance, and price tag is a must test drive for the zoom-zoom crowd.
