2002 Audi A4 3.0

ext

It IS getting better all the time. The 2002 Audi A4 3.0 has definately caught the pack of entry-level luxury sedans and has power to spare. We gave it a 6,000 ft challenge in the form of Northern California's High Sierras. Attaining the summit was not only effortless, it left both driver and vehicle jazzed and ready for more. With 45 percent greater torsional rigidity than the 2001 model, the curves flatten out behind you. Even with its weighty all wheel drive system, the V6 had torque to spare for high altitude passing. Equally delightful are the well tuned brakes with superb pedal feel and modulation.

The interior is sleek and elegant although we would move the cupholders and prefer the cobalt to the all-red instrumentation illumination. Rear seat passengers win as Audi added 1.3 inches to the wheelbase and an overall increase in length of 2.3 inches, causing a rear knee room to attain 34.3 inches. The sound system is excellent and almost every 2002 Audi now comes with an in-dash six-disc changer. We applaud the power front seats with a million settings as well as articulating headrests and a tilting/telescoping steering wheel. With its powerful, stable, and quiet ride prepare to be impressed as you test drive the nimble A4.
