2002 Volvo V70

SEE ALSO: Volvo Buyer's Guide

ext

The solid V70 has quite a list of improvements for 2002: an emergency brake assist, improved traction control performance and throttle management, a DVD-based navigation system, xenon headlamps and an upgraded premium audio system.

int
With its steel unit body construction and rounded shape the V70 has a drag coefficient of 0.30. Add antiroll bars front and rear and four-wheel antilock disc brakes with a proportioning valve that better distributes braking force, and you'll enjoy a Volvo that rides and stops better than ever.

int

Part of the "V" in the V70 has got to be its versatility. Seats appear. Seats disappear. Cargo and passengers of all shapes and sizes can be made comfortable and happy. And as Volvo continues to push the safety capabilities, they've added the the WHIPS protection system (which would make for an interesting window decal) which is a seat that restrains the upper body and head in case of a rear-end impact. This is one impressive wagon.
