Property Damage
Additional Living Expense
- My house is uninhabitable due to damage. What should I do?
Some policies will pay the reasonable increase in living expenses necessary to
maintain your normal standard of living when your home is made uninhabitable due to a
loss covered by the policy. Please refer to your policy for complete details. Your
Ailstate Claim Adjuster will determine whether you have this coverage and, if you do,
will advise you of the policy provisions and provide additional instructions. You
should be sure to obtain receipts for all expenditures.
Personal Property Damage
- I had personal property that was damaged as a result of this loss. What will I need
to provide to verify the items that were damaged?
You should gather any available receipts, owner's manuals, warranty cards,
appraisals, photographs or boxes that the items came in to help document/support your
claim. You will need to provide these to your Ailstate Claim Adjuster.
Workmanship Guarantee
- Will insurance companies guarantee the workmanship of the repairs to my home?
Most companies know the firms it recommends. They have proven the quality and timeliness
of their work against some very strict standards --- ours. That's why, in many
locations, when a firm recommended by Ailstate completes your repairs, your Claim
Representative is authorized to issue a Ailstate Home Repair Guarantee. The
guarantee assures that the quality of repairs will be of the quality generally
accepted in the Home Repair business. Furthermore, Ailstate guarantees the quality
of workmanship for up to three full years.
